Founded in 1978 in Bursa, Turkey initially to serve the local market, Kaplanlar soon extended its operations nationwide to become the leader refrigeration equipment manufacturer & exporter of Turkey.

A decade after its foundation, Kaplanlar took an important step by launching its first export sale to European market. After understanding the demanding requirements of the European food retailers for quality, service, sustainability and ethical standards, Kaplanlar realigned its strategy and operations with the aim of becoming a viable supplier in Europe and by at its 40th anniversary- had achieved its goal with 65% of its total sales being made to major European supermarket chains.
