• Easy joining methods

Korige pipes are joined together with bellows seal or sleeve seal. Headbanging is easily done in any kind of construction site environment. All kinds of horizontal and vertical stones in the construction site are light, so the machine is the minimum requirement.

• Ease of repair and maintenance The inner surface of the chestnut pipe is made in light color, allowing the control of the inside of the sewage network with the camera if required

• Upholstery facility Since the corrugated pipe is light, heavy equipment is not required during laying. Due to easy joining methods, the laying speed is higher than other pipe materials. Especially used in urban areas and in construction areas where the construction season is short.

• Smooth flow surface As the hydraulic roughness is very low compared to other pipe materials of Korbe pipes, a low diameter can be selected and used by going to the diameter optimization in the sewage system. Thus, the cost of laying the project site can be reduced compared to the concrete pipe. In addition, the smoothness of the surface prevents the solid particles in the system from adhering to the inner surface of the pipe, and the narrowing of the cross section that may occur over time is prevented.

• Long life The design life of Korige pipes is at least 50 years. Therefore, operating and maintenance costs are minimal

Firstly, the flow rate (Qd) of the selected pipe is shown in Table 1. Then, the ratio (Qg/Qd) is calculated and the corresponding (h/Di) load ratio and (vg/vd) velocity ratio are obtained from Table 2.

In case that (h/Di) load ratio is not the desired value, the procedure is repeated again with an upper diameter.

Example:

The desired flow rate (Q) is 100 It/s and the pipe gradient is 1/100. In this case, if you want to use the Manning formula and choose a pipe diameter:

Let's choose the pipe which will have a flow rate greater than 100 It/s against a 1/100 gradient from Table 1. The selected pipe is obtained as Ø350 mm, flow rate in full flow (Qd) 236,6 It/s, velocity (vd) 2.46 m/s. Qg/Qd ratio = 100/236,6=0,423 is calculated from the values.

The load ratio Qg/Qd corresponding to Table 2 is read as 45.5%, then v/vd = 0.96. In this case, water passes through the pipe at 2.46x0.962 = 2.37 m/s.
