Fire Resistant Self Flanged Stainless Duct Technology for Kitchen and Industrial Facilities

Kitchen exhaust systems and ventilation systems in oil-producing industrial facilities are facilities that have the risk of oil accumulation in the air duct. Especially the kitchens of restaurants, hotel kitchens, and kitchens of companies that provide catering services, which we call industrial kitchens, produce food intensively and accordingly, exhaust channels are exposed to oil. At the same time, this is also true in industrial facilities that produce oil. Accumulated oils in the duct, heat increase, electrical leakages that may occur in the exhaust fan, etc. These factors can cause the oil to ignite and cause a fire inside the duct. Oil fires are one of the most difficult types of fire to control and can affect the structure in a very short time. For this reason, it is even more important that the channels with the risk of oil retention are fire resistant. The EN 1366-1 standard is a standard prepared for the testing of fire resistant ducts, and ducts are tested according to this standard and classified according to integrity and insulation categories (EI). RTKFL self-flanged duct system is a Rotek patented product designed for use in industrial areas. This self-flanged product is produced as welded on automatic benches without human touch, and then the desired diameter and number of bolt holes on the flange can be drilled serially in a fully automatic machine. Since the system is self flanged, it is rigid, durable, compact and decorative. Due to the high strength, there is no need to support short distances in the horizontal transport of gases. Gas tightness can be achieved at high pressures by using a special gasket between two flanges according to the characteristics of the gas passing through it. The system is made resistant to internal and external fire with its ceramic insulation coating. It is the first and only exhaust duct system with EI120 fire resistance test certificate produced in Turkey.

Double wall kitchen hoods

The basic principle of the double wall hood is suction from one wall, blowing from multiple points at the other wall. By eliminating the air in the cooking environment only by suction, the air quality required in the environment cannot be captured and also it is very difficult to remove the particles which are released due to cooking odor, smoke, grease and solid fuel etc. only with suction.

Rotek Industrial double wall hood extracts the exhaust air in the cooking environment and creates air curtain by blowing the fresh air circulating between the walls from the bottom surface. Thus forming an air layer between the cooking zone and the remaining air of kitchen hood. It directs the exhaust air which released due to cooking by blowing from inside surface to the outlet line and finally it improves the air quality in the area by blowing fresh air from the front surface to the cooking zone.

The double wall hoods are designed to direct the air flow to the chimney line of the exhaust in a controlled manner, thus working with higher efficiency than the conventional type hoods and saving energy. On the basis of this, the only factor to remove the exhaust air is not the suction power, but the blowing forces and product design are also facilitating the removal of the exhaust air.
